Can God Really Help You?

Unfortunately, as is the case with most projects, in the end it comes down to money. To build a theme park of a high enough standard to glorify God and attract people, it will cost tens of millions of pounds.

Very early on I said to God “Where am I going to get all that money from?” His reply to me was “They (Christians) will give it to you”.

It seems such a huge amount of money and there are so many worthwhile causes competing for your money. I personally give money to many different charities. I find myself under constant pressure to give more. There is always another appeal to respond to or someone else in need.

What can I say to persuade you to help Ark Alive? I suppose I could quote a few scriptures, you know the ones; reaping what you sow, seed, time and harvest and you will get back what you give. If you are like me you have heard them all many times. It’s hard to turn away and refuse, I often feel under condemnation because each cause is so worthy and if we don’t give our money they will not be able to continue.

Why should you give to Ark Alive? There are hundreds of millions of starving people in the world. We have a constant stream of natural disasters to respond to. There are many evangelists and missionaries doing superb work out there, not to mention all the small projects happening on sink housing estates and inner city areas or work with drug addicts and the homeless. The list is endless.

I don’t know what I should say to persuade you to give to Ark Alive. I only know this, God has told me to ask. He has assured me time after time that the money will be given, so I am asking.

I would like to offer you something in return; some way of rewarding you or saying thank you. I have lots of ideas, a wall of thanks in the entrance hall or maybe footprints with names in on the pathways. At some point in the future it may be possible to issue shares, so that people own a part of the project. But for now, I’m not in a position to offer anything. I don’t want to make promises I may not be able to keep. I can’t even give you an assurance that the money will be repaid if it doesn’t go ahead because it will cost hundreds of thousands to get all the designs and plans drawn.

All I can really say is this; if you think that this is something worthwhile then please, if you are able, help financially by donating some money. Run it by God and see what he puts in your heart. Don’t feel under condemnation if you don’t want to donate. I understand, really I do. I trust God and I trust everyone out there to listen to their heart and do what they feel is right.
